Here is a 1/43 model of the Aston Martin DB5 made famous in the James Bond 007 film Goldfinger. Similar models of the same stock were used in subsequent 007 movies There have been many diecast brands that used this model, the one I have here is from Univeral Hobbies and comes with a figure of Jame Bond driving the car.
A fleeting fancy on the most beautiful cars I can never afford...except for those destined on the shelf. Just a little indulgence on the imagination. More of a fantasy that goes under my camera all the time.

1963 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman from IXO
My love for limousines led me to this nice 1/43 IXO with just the right interior and exterior details for this size . I only wish the chrome trims where better simulated than using matte paint. I once owned the 1./18 scale from AutoArt and it was plainly humongous, the largest in my collection after the Bentley Queen's Limo. This model is in dark blue, but appears black in the photos
The Real thung
The Mercedes-Benz 600 was a high-end luxury limousine offered in several variants worldwide. Introduced in 1963 and first produced in 1964, the 1965 variant took the world of famous people and government leaders by storm as most leaders started using it as their state limo. Its competitors at the time were stretched models of Rolls-Royce and Bentley, the Cadillac Fleetwood 75, Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson, and the Chrysler Imperial Crown Ghia. Intended as chauffeur-driven.the Benz 600 line remains the company's flagship and most expensive model, positioned above the Mercedes-Benz W112. It is also known as the forerunner of the modern Maybach marque.
